Using EMAILFidelity

Mail Server Settings

SMTP Mail Server:
(Outgoing Mail)

smtp.horizonz.com

POP Mail Server:
(Incoming Mail)

pop3.horizonz.com

Qualcomm Eudora for Microsoft Windows

Note: These instructions are for Eudora 5.2 and above. If you have a lower version of Eudora, please go to Eudora's website to upgrade your client.

if you have been using the Eudora POP client, and now want to switch to IMAP, proceed to step 1 below.

  1. Select Tools | Options | Incoming Mail
  2. Set "Server configuration" to IMAP .
  3. The "IMAP Mailbox Location Prefix:" field should be left blank .
  4. The "For new mail, download:" options let you control the way incoming mail is downloaded from the IMAP server. Minimal headers only is the default.

     

  5. The "When I delete a message:" options (you must choose one) let you control the way you want your deleted messages handled. Note: When you delete a message that contains an attachment, the attachment is automatically deleted also.

     

  6. Authentication style: - Passwords (this is the default)

  7. Click the OK button.


Eudora will then download the IMAP folders of your email account. Click on the Account to see its contents. You will see 4 folders: Inbox, Sent, Drafts and Bulk.

The first three are the default folders of your IMAP account.
The Bulk folder will contain all messages identified as SPAM.

Activating EMailFidelity:

 

Activation Process

1. Log in to your end user control panel.

2. Go to the "Password/Forwarding" section.

3. Enter only one of these three phrases in the "Forward List" box:

Forward Command Action on messages identified as spam
set:spamassasin:1 Tags message and offers preview. The message is attached to the notification email for the person to personally review.

set:spamassasin:discard

Message is destroyed.
set:spamassasin:tobulk Tags message and offers preview. The message is attached to the notification email for the person to personally review. The message is sent to the Bulk folder.

Enter one of the phrases above as shown in the screenshot below:

Deactivation Process

1. To deactivate EMAILFidelity for a particular account follow steps 1 and 2 of the activation process.

2. Then delete the forward command specified n the "Forward List".
